水を振る｜Shaking Water
もう5年ほど前になるでしょうか。 とある職人に会う事になった時の話です。 何か手土産をと思いつつ、私も職人としてその方と向き合いたかったので、バーテンダーとして何かカクテルをと思ったのですが、その方はお酒を飲まれないとの事でした。 その方は精密な金属加工の職人で、飛行機の部品から人が使える小物にまで及びます。その作品は海外の有名アーティスト達にもファンが多い凄い方です。また知らない世界ですが、渓流釣りの名人の名をお持ちだとか。 招かれた先で、何かバーテンダーが職人として 出来る事は何だろうと考えました。
東京タワーが赤い｜Tokyo Tower is red
私がバーに向かう道のりに、東京タワーがよく見えるポイントがあります。 なので私は毎日東京タワーを見ています。さらに遠くにスカイツリーも見えます。 とある日、思わず！「東京タワーが赤い！」と写真を撮ってしまいました。 なんと当たり前な言葉。。。 でも赤い。いつもより赤い。ナチュラルなライティングの時は赤というより朱色に見える東京タワーが今日はいつもより赤い。 確かに、随分前から東京タワーは色々な配色で輝く姿を見させてくれています。
On my way to the bar, there is a point where you can see Tokyo Tower better. So I look at Tokyo Tower every day. The sky tree can be seen further away. One day, unintentionally! I took a picture saying "Tokyo Tower is red!" ,,, word came out naturally. . . But red. Red than usual. Tokyo Tower, which looks scarlet rather than red during natural lighting, is more red than usual today. Certainly, Tokyo Tower has been shining in various colors for quite some time.
変わった飲み方のカクテル、ニコラシカ｜Unique drinking cocktail, Nicolashka
口の中で混ぜると言う手法で飲むカクテルがあります。知らずに出されると、これは全く飲み方が分からない、、、それがニコラシカと言うカクテルです。小さなリキュールグラスにブランデーを注ぎ、グラスに蓋をする様に薄いレモンスライスを乗せ、その上にお砂糖を盛ります。 バーの入り口には良く盛り塩が、されている事がありますが、ニコラシカは決して洋風の盛り塩ではありません（笑） 飲み方の一例として、レモンでお砂糖を包み、実の部分をお砂糖と一緒にかぶりつきます。 少し噛んでから、グラスのブランデーを一気に口に含むみます。 口の中で全てを混ぜ合わせると、レモンの酸味がお砂糖と混じり、そこにブランデーが合わさって何とも言えない美味しさになります。
There are cocktails that you drink by mixing them in your mouth. If you don't know this, you have no idea how to drink it ... it's a cocktail called Nicolashka. Pour brandy into a small liqueur glass, place a thin slice of lemon on top of the glass and cover it with piled sugar. The bar entrance is often filled with piled salt (Japanese old custom for wishing luck), but Nicolashka is not a Western-style piled salt. (Laughs) As an example of how you drink this, first, wrap sugar with lemon and dig in. After chewing a little, put the glass of brandy in your mouth. When you mix everything in your mouth, the sourness of the lemon mixes with the sugar, and the brandy mixes with it to make it an indescribable taste.
